XIII° Enolia, a Seravezza il 21 e 22 aprile
The thirteenth edition of the event takes place on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 April in the historic centre of Seravezza, at Palazzo Mediceo.
The main producers of extra-virgin olive oil of Lucca and Versilia will be present in the halls of Palazzo Mediceo,
while in front of the garden there will be arranged the stands that will host other excellences.
As usual, this event gives us the possibility to know and to appreciate the ancient products of the territory which are almost forgotten; this year it will be rediscovered a delicacy: the "Bruschin di Vado"; a soft cheese, a kind of "Taleggio" sheep" aged in natural beeswax. Another novelty this year is the twinning of Enolia with the Versilia Wine Art Festival, the event dedicated to wine and art, which until last year took place in Pietrasanta.

A CASTELVECCHIO LE CELEBRAZIONI PER IL CENTENARIO DELLA MORTE DI PASCOLI – DAL 6/04 AL 27/04
On the occasion of the centenary of the poet's death (which occurred on 6 April 1912) the whole Italy is preparing to celebrate its fame with initiatives, conferences, celebrations. And the small village of Castelvecchio, in the Comune of Barga, province of Lucca, is one of the capitals of these celebrations, as the poet resided there for a long time, and his house has become a museum.
From April 6th a series of initiatives will take place, such as the presentation of a commemorative stamp and a two-euro coin with the portrait of the poet minted by Zecca di Stato, in addition to the presentation of a book on the life of Pascoli.
These events will be accompanied by a special edition of "Treno dei sapori" and gastronomic events.

DANZALAND 27-28-29/04/2012
In the occasion of the international day of dance, 27-28-29/04/2012, Lucca will open its doors and will offer its walls, its squares, its prestigious theater to celebrate the art of Dance as movement: neoclassical, classical ballet and street dance, Latin-American and Caribbean, standard, modern and lyrical jazz, oriental dances, folk, ethnic and historical dances, will meet and take turns in the enchanting spaces offered by the city of Lucca.
It is a real journey into dance and you can participate in a variety of ways: as a merely curious, walking through the streets of downtown; as a public, seeing the shows staged on various platforms in the city; as buyers, acceding to the Expo Area; as dancers, enrolling in stage and lectures by prominent personalities of this art, or performing on one of the many stages available.
The event, conceived by Arethusa srl, and organized in cooperation with the Opera delle Mura in the name and on behalf of Comune di Lucca, will be developed with the intention of being a vehicle of expression and promotion for the entire world of dance and, at the same time, will also offer a different way of appreciation and interaction with the artistic beauties of the town of Lucca.
