Placed 1st at the first edition of the "Olio Nuovo della Costa Toscana"
Our extra-virgin olive oil recently placed 1st at the first edition of the "Olio Nuovo della Costa Toscana" exhibition, which desplayed olive oils from the provinces of Massa, Lucca, Pisa, Livorno and Grosseto (the Tuscan Coast). It was voted as best Extra-Virgin Olive Oil from Lucca DOP and received a special mention as best extra-virgin olive oil in the ORGANIC cathegory

Maria Teresa extra virgin olive oil has acquired the recognition ‘D.O.P. LUCCA". D.O.P. stands for Denominazione di Origine Protetta indicating quality awarded to an agricultural or food product whose particular characteristics of excellence depend exclusively on the area where it is produced.
Producers who obtain the D.O.P. recognition must hold rigorously to a particular discipline of production’ and it is garanteed by the Ministero delle Politiche Agricole, Alimentari e Forestali - law art. 10 del Reg. (CE) n. 510/2006

Tasting notes
The olive varieties of the Maria Teresa Estate (Frantoio, Leccino, Moraiolo and Pendolino) give the product a distinctive character: a fresh, fruity harmonious flavour, agreeably sharp and with a pleasing hint of almonds.
